Short Bio: Born and raised in Goodhue MN. Joined the Navy and received a fleet appointment to the US Naval Academy. Spent 36 years in the Navy. Was Commanding Officer of an Aircraft Squadron, two Navy ships - USS Juneau and USS Hancock - and the Naval Aviation Schools Command. Made 13 cruises of 4-10 months - included two circumnavigation of the World, two around South America, and one around Africa. While at USNA was Class President, All American three years in Lacrosse, Captain of the '49 Football team, Played in the East West Shrine Football Game, and was selected as one of ten for the 1975 NCAA Silver Anniversary Awards. Married to Betsey Jane Olsen for going on 50 years (12/30/'00) Have three Children and three Grand Children. Currently residing in Annapolis MD and coaching squash at the USNA.
